HVAC & AC Repair
in New Jersey
AC not cooling, heating issues, system tune-ups. Licensed technicians, same-day service across Central NJ.
Signs You Need HVAC & AC Repair
- System not cooling or heating the space
- Weak airflow from vents
- Unusual sounds — banging, rattling, or squealing
- Water leaking from indoor unit
- Bad or musty smell from vents
- System short-cycling (turning on and off frequently)
- Significantly higher energy bills

What We Check & What We Fix
What our technician checks on-site
- Measure supply and return air temperature differential — target 18–22°F split for a healthy system
- Test run capacitor microfarad value — capacitor failure is the most common AC repair
- Test contactor contacts for pitting and measure coil voltage
- Check refrigerant pressure on both high and low sides
- Inspect evaporator coil for ice or heavy frost build-up from restricted airflow
- Flow-test condensate drain line to confirm it is clear
Problems we fix most often
- Failed capacitor or contactor
- Refrigerant leak and recharge
- Condenser or evaporator fan motor failure
- Dirty or frozen evaporator coil
- Thermostat calibration or replacement
- Blocked or restricted drain line
Parts we typically replace
- Dual run capacitor
- Contactor relay
- Condenser fan motor
- Air handler blower motor
- Refrigerant charge (R-410A or R-22)
- Condensate pump
- Thermostat

Repair or Replace?
When Repair Makes Sense
- Capacitor or contactor failure — most common AC repair, low cost and fast
- Condenser or blower fan motor failed — straightforward motor replacement
- Evaporator coil frozen from restricted airflow — clean coil + air filter change
- Clogged condensate drain causing water backup
- Thermostat failed or miscalibrated
When Replacement May Win
- Compressor failure on a system over 12 years old using R-22 refrigerant (no longer manufactured)
- Cracked heat exchanger in a furnace (serious carbon monoxide safety issue)
- Refrigerant leak in evaporator coil on a system over 10 years old — recharging repeatedly is not cost-effective
- System SEER rating is very low (below 10) — a new system pays back in utility savings

HVAC & AC Repair — Common Questions
Why is my AC running but blowing warm air?
The three most common causes are a failed capacitor (prevents the compressor from starting properly), low refrigerant, or a frozen evaporator coil caused by restricted airflow.
What is a capacitor and why do they fail so often?
A capacitor stores an electrical charge to start the compressor and fan motors. It degrades with heat and typical service life is 5–10 years in a NJ climate.
Do you service mini-split systems?
Yes — we service all brands of mini-split and multi-zone systems including LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Daikin, and others.
My AC is running but not keeping up with the heat — is it low on refrigerant?
Possibly, but inefficiency is also caused by dirty coils, a weak capacitor, or restricted airflow. We measure system performance before adding refrigerant to avoid overcharging.
How often should I service my HVAC system?
Annual pre-season maintenance is recommended — spring for cooling, fall for heating. This catches capacitor wear and dirty coils before they cause a mid-summer failure.
